ANNIKA MEEHAN

Annika D. Meehan, L.Ac, MTCM, CGP
Annika has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over 18 years and has been personally invested in complimentary medicine for over 25 years. She obtained her Master degrees from Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA. In addition to her formal training in TCM she has her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado and studied Naturopahthic Medicine in London, England. She has countless hours of continuing education in nutrition, functional & herbal medicine and hormonal imbalances. She specializes in auto-immune disorders, functional medicine, complimentary cancer treatments, infertility and musculoskeletal disorders. Her main focus is to determine why someone became ill initially and how to correct the feedback loop systems to regain optimal health. She is a certified FirstLine Therapist, a specialized lifestyle medicine program for elevated cholesterol, weight-loss and chronic disease and inflammation. She is also a certified gluten practitioner specializing in non celiac gluten sensitivities, autoimmune gluten and celiac disease. Annika has completed her Functional Medicine training and will sit for the exam in November.
LISA NELSON

Lisa M. Nelson, L.Ac, OTr, MS
Lisa has over 15 years of experience in physical rehabilitation health care. She received her Masters degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. In addition to her TCM training she has her Masters of Arts in Occupational Therapy from College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN. Most recently she studied at McMaster’s University in Ontario, Canada to specialize in orthopedic acupuncture using neuro-anatomically based needling techniques (trigger / motor point). Lisa integrates “hands on” methods of releasing muscles and fascia through manual therapy to improve the functional balance and adaptability of these tissues for daily tasks and sports performance. She has countless hours in the treatment of musculoskeletal issues and chronic pain. Prior to joining EWC she worked at Probility Physical Therapy in Ann Arbor, MI She is certified in FirstLine Therapy, a specialized lifestyle medicine program for elevated cholesterol, weight-loss and chronic inflammation.
